World Refugee Day will be celebrated with an all-day program in Ribnjak Park, including an afternoon concert

Agenda

On Saturday, June 25, 2022, in front of the Youth Center Ribnjak in the Park Ribnjak, we will celebrate World Refugee Day from 10:00 to 20:00.
Deputy Mayor Luka Korlaet will officially open the event at noon.
Organisations which participate in the all-day program are Center for Peace Studies, Are You Syrious, JRS – Jesuit Refugee Service, Center for the Culture of Dialog and Living Atelier DK with various activities from 10:00 to 17:00. Activities include workshops for children and adults,  storytelling, language learning and sports activities, all in order to raise awareness of the importance of integration for our city. At the end of this manifestation, musical program starts at 16:30 with the artist Commi Balde and at 17:00 with the band JALL AUX YEUX.
Commi Balde is a musician, songwriter, composer and percussionist from Senegal, who has been living and working in Zagreb for more than 10 years. On this occasion, he brings African rhythm to Ribnjak Park.
Francophone band JALL AUX YEUX from Bihać (BiH) creates authentic music and brings together musicians of different profiles. Band members played in many musical genres in various musical formations, which influenced their current musical expression (pop/rock, punk, indie, folk.)
The organizer of the event is the City of Zagreb in cooperation with the Youth Center Ribnjak. The event is funded by EU project CONNECTION.
